Today’s kitchens must meet many demands, not just a practical place to prepare food and cook, but also a place to dine, work, entertain and relax. Therefore a kitchen must not only be functional, but be good looking and beautifully finished.
The first stage of the design process is to consider the space you have available, as this will determine the layout of your new kitchen. Whether you are replacing a kitchen in a similar layout or completely re-designing the layout, regardless of size, the need to maximise storage and workspace is paramount. Precise measurements will be taken of the room, from walls, ceilings, door locations and window heights etc.
Most kitchens are laid out to form a working triangle between storage, preparation and cooking areas. Designed correctly this will provide an efficient working environment as it reduces the distances between the most commonly used areas/appliances of the kitchen.
If the layout of the kitchen is going to be altered then such things as gas pipe-work and electric points may need moving. Also other plumbing and heating considerations need to be made in the design process. We have Gas Safe and NICEIC registered tradesmen to carry this out. Once the design has been decided, the customer can then choose the style and finish of units and worktops.
We can offer a wide range of kitchen units from numerous manufactures, such as Howden’s Joinery, Crown Imperial and Magnet trade. Whatever your preference in style from traditional to contemporary, we can cater for most tastes and just as importantly be flexible to suit your budget. There are different types of worktop available, from granite or quartz, solid surface (minerva), laminate to solid wood.
Following on from this, decisions on appliances can be made.
All major brands such as Neff, Bosch and Rangemaster can be supplied, from ovens, hobs and extractors to refrigerators, dishwashers and washing machines. We can advise on what sink and taps options are best suited for the customer’s requirements. Again quality brands such as franke and Blanco can be supplied.
The lighting of any room is important, but more so in the kitchen. Clever lighting can improve the different area’s of the kitchen, from enhancing food preparation to something more subtle in the dining area.
Finally decisions on walls and flooring can be made. Options on splash-backs, from ceramic tiles, worktop up-stands to glass can be decided.
The choice of flooring is very important, from tiling to Karndean or vinyl. We can advise you on what will best suit your requirements and budget. Additional warmth can be added with underfloor heating if required. If re-decoration is requested, then we are happy to advise on colours and paint finishes now available.
Our full installation service will safely undertake all the work required, from plumbing and electrics to decorating and lighting. We will also remove and dispose of your old kitchen and waste materials from the project..
If on the other hand you have supplied your own kitchen and just require our fitting service then this can also be arranged. We can take on as much of the kitchen refurbishment as you require depending on your individual requirements.
